Sujit Choudhry founded the Center of Constitution Transitions in order to create a database for international networks of experts to collaborate and develop policies based on research and evidence supported by others. He previously worked as a constitutional advisor for democracies around the world and was shocked at the inefficiency of the system and how it failed to collect the vast amount of known information together. This led to him coming up with the idea for the Center of Constitution Transitions. Sujit Choudhry is an immigrant himself and has used his experiences with that process to further his understanding and experience of constitutional law. He has law degrees from three different counties and this has provided him with the resources he needs in order to build a successful career. He considers himself to be a scholar of comparative constitutional law and in that regard, the world is facing a huge challenge to the liberal and democrat mindset. He thinks that the solution to this is for America to pay attention to the successes and failures of other countries and use that to advance. Sujit Choudhry has experienced first hand how important it is to consider the opinion of everyone since the cultures of places outside the United States is so variable. He has learned not to expect perfection and instead to take on one challenge at a time. His greatest accomplishment has been the way he brought experts and scholars together all around the world. That network greatly contributed to their projects at the Center for Constitutional Transitions.
Sujit Choudhry currently works as the Dean and Professor of Law at the University of California.
